| Having fun learning about the attributes of Dry Ice. |
I was invited to attend . Royal Society of Science day in Wellington where I connected with other educators. Along with two other teachers form my school we travelled and met up with a fourth colleague who was working on a Science based project to help infuse more science in school.
We participated in some fun hands on science activities and then got down to planning for science learning back at school in Term 1 next year. By having a small group of teachers planning together away from school we were able to focus on planning without any interruptions. Precious time that we all valued and appreciated.
A key concept of our planning was how we could include the community in the science learning that is going to happen. With this in mind we have planned some events where the community will be involved in discussions, events and can contribute via an online platform to show science at home.
