How I cater for my students learning our own unique context?

This video came through a Ministry email and it was thought provoking in that it outlined how I am catering for the uniqueness of all the individuals in our class.

I reflected on the way that we contextualise the learning through the framework of our curriculum. We are fortunate in that our local environment offers a uniqueness that students love to explore and learn about. Our culture is also unique in that we blend not only the tangata whenua but also the many different cultures of our community.

Blending the layers of our national curriculum into our local curriculum happens at so many levels but does need to be done explicitly so it is relevant and meaningful for our tamariki.
